My good friend Matthew Dow Smith is finishing his first novel, and I'm doing the covers. (Photography, photo manipulation, and some of the design.)

If all goes well, these covers will be done by Halloween. In the meantime, here's the final teaser.

I see the woman. You can see its from about waist up, and shes topless. If I were to guess shes blond as well. I would make it slightly more pronounced by maybe another 5% for the female layer. Btw, Im using a pc, 22" lcd LG monitor.

Interestingly, you're partly right but imagining a lot that isn't there. (Well, that isn't in the source materials, I guess.)

One thing I have noticed is, when something is printed, versus what you see on the screen can be quite different as well. I do love the idea, and what you have already.

Yeah, I usually keep that in mind. Color profiles help a lot there.

Can I ask-- Are you looking in a Mac, a PC, or some other device? I'm finding the monitor and color profile matters.

PC, and I'm pretty sure its well calibrated. But you might be right that its my monitor.
