white bird - vi

This is probably my favorite one from the series. I wish I could explain why other then to say that for me, this one is the clearest and most evocative of them all. I'm not sure if it is the sideways glance, the beautiful eye adornment, the detail down to the string of saliva from the teeth to the lip - it just is. The cropping, lighting, focus and model are all gorgeous. The shadows are perfect, not too harsh but clearly well put together and there.
Together it creates a striking white portrait that is like candy to my eyes.
The only suggestion I would even begin to make on this piece is the lighting in the eye - it's incredibly distracting to see the big bar of light across the beautiful expanse of blue. This is simply nitpicking, as I don't like to critique without any actual suggestions, but I truly can not find anything about this that I would change other then that bar of light.
Everything together has created a very emotive portrait of a beautiful model who is expressive and lovely. She should be proud to work with a photographer such as yourself who can make her appear like this, could capture a moment in time such as you have here.
